Spotted this truck this weekend in the parking lot at the Carl Casper Auto Show in Louisville, Kentucky. There were a lot of nice vehicles there, but this one really tickled my fancy. I'm really digging the old school wheels on it.

:bowtie:

If that truck is not in need of a front crossmember mod I dont know what is.

forgive the noobish question, but what would that do? bring the front on down?

that's one reason i liked this truck so much, you can tell its a work in progress

:)

That's a clean truck!

gldevall 02-24-2004 12:00 AM

tires look too big.

swervin ervin 02-24-2004 12:22 AM

I agree, tires are a tad too big, but at least it don't have 22's and rubber bands for tires. :D

I like it. He's doing his own thing and not trying to copy everyone else.

Prerunner1982 02-24-2004 12:25 AM

i think the big tires look good, fill the large wheel wells... too each his own....

Destructo 02-24-2004 01:24 AM

I like the bigger meats also. I don't know much about 2wds but i'm going to assume whatever the crossmember mod is will straighten out the front wheel problem with them being at such an angle while sat down like that. But don't know if anything can fix that or not. I kinda chuckled when I saw it missing a headlight. But like said before it is a work in progress and looks good to me so far, I would drive it anyway.

Russell 02-24-2004 01:28 AM

Looks like someone gave that truck a black eye, lol :D

I'm not liking how the crossmember is on the ground while the back drops further, but otherwise its a good looking truck :) Just needs to get a smaller series tire...

I like it too, it is a fine example of a work in progress.

IMO, I think that he could lose the rear step bumper, the dented "dumbos", and the nicely shaped radio antenna for a cleaner look.

Blue Beard 02-24-2004 09:28 AM

She's probably bagged and just looks bad sitting on the ground..........looks like that left front wheel is about to snap the spindle off....

784X4GUY 02-24-2004 12:28 PM

i agree blue beard it does look like that dont it

Prerunner1982 02-24-2004 12:39 PM

thats cause its aired out, wheel and tire "should" be straight up and down when its aired up to driving psi.

That black eye is nothing - - I'd like to see the other guy..... (it's a Chevy, remember?) :D

I'm not big into the look of it sitting on the ground like that. If I saw a vehicle on the side of the road looking like that, I'd say the spindle was already snapped. I do agree though, it is a nice clean truck and has potential.

Like the big rubber as well.

I like the truck itself (it looks like my goal for mine), I just don't care to have it lay on the ground.

I'd be afraid of resting on something other than the frame or crossmember.

loweredd 02-25-2004 01:17 AM

That looks awesome. I have almost that amount of sidewall on my 20" wheels. I'm lovin it!!
