Where can I get balljoints and poly bushings?
 

I am planning on doing a spindle and coil swap pretty soon, and need balljoints anyway.

Where is a decent place to get these for a good price?

I can't afford to replace all of the bushings in the front suspension, but since it will be apart, I would like to replace the bushings that will have the most affect.

Any suggestions?

You can also get Moog chassis parts at most local parts places and most will carry Energy Suspension bushings. :D

Sway bar alone?

If I were going to do it in stages, I think since you will have the spindles off anyway, I would get the hardest ones out of the way now, the control arm bushings. The other bushings, which are the sway bar can be done anytime without much work at all. No way I would want to take the spindles out twice. It's a lot easier to replace the ball joints with the control arms out of the truck anyway if you have vice to put them in. This way you can clean them real good and give'em a good coat of paint too.

I say do it in the order as money and time allow.

Both upper and lower control arm bushings, with the upper and lower ball joints.

Sway bar bushings.

Tire rod ends and pitman arm.

You are going back with some drop shocks, right. Do yourself a favor and get some Doestch Techs. Best drop shock I know of.

Thanks Mike. That makes perfect sense to me. I planned on disassembling everything and painting it. I usually do this kind of work with my father-in-law, who only likes to make stuff work, without any concern for cleanliness or aesthetics. I will have to make him sit and wait.

I am going to get Doetch Techs for the rear (per your recommendation from before).

I had found your website (now Jeff's) last summer, long before I found this board. I was the guy having all kinds of trouble with my ESC distributor.

I have looked at www.performancesuspension.com as well. In fact, I made a spreadsheet with all of the suppliers I could think of with prices and shipping costs. Anal, I know.:D
