EFI 454 For Sale
I have a complete TBI 454 that I got from Rancho Chevy in Ca. It was pulled from a 101k mi rollover 1991 Suburban. It is turnkey complete including:
TBI 454 Air cleaner to oil pan all serpentine accessories and brackets computer and harness exhaust manifolds with y-pipe past O2 sensor Lines for external oil cooler etc. I paid $2600 for it about 10 months ago(they wanted $1800 for just the serpentine w/acc. and EFI) I'm asking $1600 for the whole ball of wax. |
WOW! -I have two 454 TBI's that I paid that much for, too- except they came with trucks that I drove home! Stuff must bring some big $ out there

They really have you by the balls if they have a good complete runner. I shopped all over the western hemisphere to find this one. There seems to be a real shortage of wrecked 454 HD Chevy trucks. Must be pretty tough, huh? I can't even find HD tranny/t-case for a 4x4 conversion I'm getting set up for my sister-in-law's 87 Sub C-20. I do think that $1600 for a virgin block with all the little high$$ particulars, is a steal. No hunting for mystery parts.

Parting it out was brought up elsewhere. I would be interested in $$ offers for the TBI setup, Serpentine setup, 454 longblock, misc. Anybody interested?
I looked up replacement cost on the major components that make up the efi system. Most of these are reman. prices. The setup I have was in good working order til the 'burb rolled. They are as follows: Intake manifold $200-250 Throttle Body $408 Harness $550 ECM $165 Chip $ 75 Distributor $196 Coil $ 40 Misc sensors on intake $150 Serpentine assembly w/AC $700 (only price avail was for Small Block) Now you see why I paid $2600 (incl. delivery) for the complete package. I don't expect to get full reman $$, but as I said elsewhere in my K20 ad, I need $$. |
Wow! And to think that I payed 1500. for my whole truck.
