What is the best suspension kit?
Hello! :D im new to the board ive browsed around a bit, and after kind of ditching the work on my VW for a while cause winters over and vws are gay (good winter car) I want to get my 68 c10 on the road! :D I am a huge fan of the handling. (i have springs poly bushings different shocks/struts sways in the vw so i like my handling alot, can you say gokart?) I looked through the search archives and i konw its rude to ask the same questions over and over.
I need to ask this now, i noticed that brothers trucks, ECE, belltech, djm are some of the manufacturers for 67-72 suspension. I have a few goals, i want the biggest swaybars availible, now who would make these, usually i see them for 140-160 us dollars, the biggest it hink was a 1 3/8ths bar, is there bigger ? will a 72-87 bar fit i know theres a 1 1/2 bar for this gen
ALSO how good is the quality of brothers trucks stuff, ece, jdm and belltech (it would suck to have a spindle snap :o )
Second, ECE appears to sell stock 12" rotors in 6 bolt format, if i lower it, for now i would like to retain my jeep wagoneer 6bolt 15's with new tirse because they are polished, and want to goto disc brakes. so .... do the 12" 6 lug rotors work with their spindles? (2 1/2 drop)
Third, i want the 4/6 stance going, i have 26.5 ? (255 60 15 ) tires on it right now, do i have to toss the inner wheeltubs front and rear ?
4th would prolly have to be, can i use my non power brake (stock ) master cylinder on my 68 910 for the front disc brakes i know usually with cars you need a bigger master cylinder piston diameter to compensate for this.... can i pull this off ? (anythings gotta be better than 11" or whatever front drums !!! )
-thanks in advance, i hope i can help anybody in the future with suspension questions :D
