Question on step side beds
 

Can anyone tell me what year beds would work on a 56 Chevy? Considering buying a nice original truck however somewhere along the line it was made into a dump bed. The cover over the cylinder is still welded to the front bed panel and I would like to eliminate it and would just replace the front bed panel.

Any info is appreciated.

55-2nd - 66 beds will fit.
If you just need the front bed panel, I would be intrested in the dump bed hydraulics. I'm sure we could make some kind of deal.
I will be picking up some bed parts this summer.

Hey Denny, how ya been? Looks like I'm probably gonna pass on the 56, a bit out of my price range and I still have to put up my addition/garage. Township knocked down my variance application so now it's going up as an addition.

If things change where I do get it I'll let u know.

Stepside bed dimensions are the same from 2nd 55's all the way to 87. Only changes are fenders, steps, support placement, etc, etc....
