YUK:barf: even though I don't like the look of it, I can't stop staring at it. It's just one of those things that boggles my mind, and make me think WHY? I guess it is unique though

apstguy 04-05-2004 02:09 AM

I wouldn't mind having it. I think it is cool. But I would change a few things...

Imagine topping a hill on a busy 2-lane & seeing that!

i have seen something like that before, but it was an International medium truck chassis with both ends having a front drive axle. the story goes that some specialized equipment bodies needed to be be very low to the ground, which precluded the use of large rwd axles and suspension components. so the conversion companies would buy 4x4 truck chassis and cut the frame off behind the cab, use the front section, and sell the rear for scrap/parts. when they made the truck with 2 fronts, the conversion company would just cut it in half and use both ends, with no wasted material.

i think it would be fun to make a 4x4 version, and both ends having engines of their own...then put transfer cases in so they would be FWD. then have a driver in each end, and have a tug o war. lol

the "back" of that truck looks evil with the two red eyes.. I kinda like it :)

and just think of all that trunk space for trips!

I didn't like it when I first saw the post, but after checking out the auction and other pics, I think it is has some schwing factor.

That's why he only has the mirrors and the stainless steel strip on the cab with the engine installed.

What a waste!

Now we know where there's two mint condition '75 cab's & front clip's for sale:D

Not much for driving, but for advertising and getting attention...I'd park that in front of my business any day.

There were about a half dozen of those type of trucks at Truck Carlisle last year.
