Hi everyone just signed on to the board . I have been checking it out for awhile and it has inspired me to get my 72 k5 back in shape. I have had it for 13 years. when i bought it it was in pretty good shape and the air worked. so i didnt really need to do anything to it for abought 5 years. Then it was time for a new motor so the 4 bolt got rebuilt added a cam, headers, jet quadrajet, hei distributor, msd offroad box, weiend intake, and lots of other goodies and it was good. But now i had the bug so it needed 33s and a 4inch lift, and 410s, and posi front and back. whish i had gone with the lockers instead. But it hauled butt . Now i need to freshen up the interior. it has gotten pretty bad from having the top off and hauling atc s around. so i am redoing the carpet and seats and panels. heres a pic

Sweet rig, and welcome from N. CA. What kind of lift did you go with? all spring? How do you like it, ride wise etc.? What size rims are you running and what width 33's did you go with?

First of all thanks for the welcomes and compliments on the blazer:bowtie: The lift is a rancho. 4inch springs in front, blocks in back, rancho shocks. I really dont like it much on road or off. maybe if ihad the springs instead of the blocks it would make a difference. when i hit the dirt i have to air down to abought 15 psi so i dont shake the fillings out of my teeth. The rim are 15 x10 and the tires are 33.12.50.15 bfg all terains.I didnt really think abought spray in bed liners . But maybe who knows. I just put the tire carrier i got on ebay on the truck yesterday. And it does fit in the garage with the top off. But not when its on;)

Sweet K5, and another welcome aboard from the midwest!

I've heard the Rancho lifts are like replacing your springs with cinder blocks (WAY too rough!!!) Most are having good luck with Tough Country springs (much softer spring rate) up front, and a shackle flip out back.
