I put a 5 speed out of a 96 1/2 ton pickup into my 72. The hyd cyl mounted behind the brake booster but ---booster bracket required shimming---had to rig clutch linkage to work ----had to cut new hole in floor hump----had to have drive shaft length adjusted----have to run without speedo do to the late model elec sensed pickup on trans. Make sure you allow for shifter position as some are real close to seat--depending. Mine is way up towards heater vent. Most hyd clutches have a real easy pedal---mine is real stiff--don't know why--?!
