1. Take case of oil from your dad. Don't let him have it back unless he knows how to read a dipstick.
2. Don't drive the truck around like this is normal.
3. Pull the engine and rebuild it. The knocking could be anything in the valve train. You may have broken a ring or too much play in a rod or something.
You're going to have to clean the carburetor anyway. That I would pull and rebuild unless you want something else. Is the engine spooging oil?
