The headers look great, I think they were only actually run for a few months - the transmission blew back in July. I'll clean the fingerprints and grease smudges off and take some fresh pictures tomorrow.
The shortblock is a 3970010 casting, with a TBB suffix code on the passenger side - which codes out to exactly what it is, a 1970 four-bolt main truck engine originally installed with a three-speed manual. No rod knock or anything of the sort; it could even be used as-is in a pinch with some cleaning and a new oil pan gasket. It was using a quart every 1000mi or so, and most of that ended up on the outside of the engine by way of blowby and the 35-year-old oilpan gasket.
