That's why I have been wanting a split bench from a '98 or so extended cab truck where access behind the bench was needed. In which case the passenger side portion of the bench slid far enough forward to allow access to the back seat.
I've seen lots of pics from board members with this year of bench in their trucks. Of course they would never pass for original but they look good just the same.
I've got a three across, flip n' fold bench from an '84 blazer in the back, plus I need to seat six in the blazer to pack in all the chillin's.
A split bench up front is the answer...
