Having started a lot of cars in the past, it is easiest to open up the harness just as it comes out of the firewall connector, there you have your porple (starter) and pink (ignition), and 12v (red) wires. bare a spot on them so they cannot touch, use your always reuired alligator clipped jumpers from red to pink and touch purple to start. You can Also carry an ignition switch and simply unplug the plug from the old lock and plug it into your switch. That will not light up the gen and brake warning lights unless you ground the swiitch.
