I have never heard of a 4 speed m1008 or any of the m10-- line having a 4 speed but there is a pickup body just like the 1008 that came with a 205, they were designated as m1028 shelter carriers. the m1028A1 had the PTO option, my assumptionis that is why they used the 205 . ive even heard rumors that a few out there had 350's in them but i have never witnessed this. as far as electrical i think only the starters are 24 volt everything else is a standard 12 volt. they just wire the starter to the bateries in series aiding to power the 24 volt starter.
