Auto clear coats like LP would give you the longest protection. If this is a real nice bed and a daily driver, I would get a bed mat that I could put in to protect it and pull out when I show it. Your not going to find anything that will look good and give you long life. It's wood it breathes, it moves, it's difficult. Most boat owners know that a great finish on there wood only lasts about a yr.
