Mine didn't even go thru the firewall. It attached right ot a bracket on the pedal. You would pull it out a couple clicks and it would pull the pedal down to where you wanted it. I took it off and sold it to a former board member to run higher rpm's for his A/C in the desert. Sure wish I wouldn't have sold it now tho
