My C20 was tipping the scales at 4750 right after I took the camper off of it. Besides it being a C20 (might account for 150-175 more pounds than C10), there was a spare tire under the bed, heavy duty diamond plate step bumper on the rear, has steel wagon wheels, all stock cast iron components on engine, A/C, etc, and it had no tailgate.
I took out the spare tire, and I changed the rear bumper to a regular one. Will be interesting to see how much it weighs when I put some new alloy wheels on it, a tailgate, an aluminum intake, and maybe aluminum heads in the future.
