The olds motor mounts are way different than the chevy, they use the horizontal bolt and my 72 uses 1 bolt on each side that screws directly into the motor mount. Even the chevy horizontal bolt mounts are different, they are wider than the plate that bolts to the olds engine, i think they can be cut down, i haven't tried it yet, but thinking of it. I found all this out when I tried putting a 455 into a 49 F@%d f-3. I tried using the mounts and towers from an 87 k-10 and nothing works, need the olds crossmember and frame mounts. You can do it, but need to get creative!! I know a guy who put a chevy transmission on an olds, just drilled the tranny to match the holes in the block and made a plate to cover the rest of the flywheel housing.
