I wouldnt bother calling the police. If they are anything like the police around here then they wont even help you after its been stolen even if you have the adress of the guy who stole it and where he parked it.
What i would do though is keep an eye on the situation and write down his plate # the next time you see him. I would let him see you do it too. If he's a thief he would have to be pretty stupid to steal from you when he knows you could track him down.
