i think i have to go against the grain here and no offense to anyone in particular but i say go with a longbed-if you want a 1/2 ton,3/4 or 1 ton thats up to you-ive seen all 3 load ratings that were nice and some that werent.shortbeds have there place and purpose and ill admit some are nice-i saw a shortbed K10 the other day i would have given my left one for just to give an example-but generally i prefer longbeds.im weird i guess but i at times get sick of hearing shortbed this shortbed that,you should have bought a shortbed blah blah etc etc-i have a longbed so i hear it quite a bit.i did have a shortbed once and ive had 4 longbed trucks and as far as the parking thing goes i always felt they parked about the same.sure you can get a shortbed in a tighter spot thats the only difference ive ever noticed.just my thoughts
