we bought an Olympus a couple months back. 3.2 megapixel. works ok, has a digital & optical zoom plugs into the tv if you want and uses generic photo cards, or whatever you call those things. From what I understand if you by a Sony, you have to use their "stick" , so if you want to get more memory you can't just by "jobber" parts. The more Megapixels ( Bigger number ) the better the resolution, especially if you want to blow up your image. The NiMh = Nickle Metal Hallide batteries are expensive but seem to last a very long time, and there rechargable. If yer battery goes dead you got no shots, and these cameras eat power..well worth the extra expnse, I figure.
