350 in a 68 Chevy SWB. Have a points distributor in there now...going to switch to HEI soon. Question is...do I have to run a hot wire straight from the fuse box to the new HEI coil? or can I make a new connection out of existing wire that plugs on to the - side of the old external coil from the wiring harness? Now this wiring harness that is on there now is only about 2 months old, bought it from Rick's. Also what gauge should the wire be?
