I completely disagree. All of my street rods have used lowered leafs in the back. They ride better than the original springs did everytime. I use good quality springs like Posies.

Besides, a shackle and hanger kit will do what he wants and he won't be changing anything about the springs, just how they are mounted to the frame.



Here is a 4 inch shackle and hanger lowering kit for his truck that costs 170 bucks. It doesn't affect the spring at all.
