Just went through the same thing with my 69---I removed the whole lock by unscrewing the face plate from the entire cylinder-takes about 12-15 turns
-------in my area 3 parts stores carried the new lock and cylinder it fits into for under $20.00--------if you are unsure about how to do this-----go to the parts store and get the new ones---------very simple operation and you can buy a new dash side --face--- from several suppliers for about $5-------easy and cheap-Good luck----------OH-for those needing door locks--we have farm and fleet and Fleet farm stores here-they sell new door locks with keys for under $10 (with new keepers also)-Great site guys------a real great group of truck guys here.
