Ken he may not be bored just snowed in. There was a hot rod magazine article years ago where they made a cowl hood for a camaro. They used a nibbling tool to cut the part that need to be raised then used spray paint can lids as spacers to lift it to the desired height. Next they used trimed metal strips to fill in the spaces where the hood was lifted. It looked pretty cool, but I've never had the guts to try it.
