is the 292 lacking power or just buzzing a bit too much at hiway speeds? lol, been there done that! A gear change or different tranny would help a lot with that. spend $125 on a tune up and a nice sounding muffler for your 6 and it might change your mind, if the 6 is still good that is. I put a 327 in mine and I like it a lot but there are a few things I miss from my old 250, not the fact that it was toast thought! You'll probably spend a load of cash on re-building that 327, that cash could be used to hop up your 6 a bit, manifold a 4 barrel, header, cam, nice exhaust. but it all depends on the given situation. 327 is my sb of choice! I'd rather hop the 6 than put a stock 2 barrel 327 in if they were both running good. Your chioce. Good luck!
