It must be a popluar thing around that area. When I bought my first truck (1971 short fleet) I bought it in Turlock, and that same thing was done to it. Back then I was in High School, and I didnt know as much, and didn't have the time to fix anything, so I took it to Northern Tire ( I think was the name of it, on McHenry, right across from the old store "The fast Lane"<God I miss that store>) Anyways, I took it there, and got the whole front end redid for like a grand. I know, it was a lot of money, but like I said, I didn't know my hind hole, from a hole in the ground
