toms68cst- The smog pump is there but not hooked up
. Its also missing a bolt on the bottom. Nice truck! Unfortunately I'm probably gonna changed the color in the future so they won't look like siblings anymore. I have become very unfond of white-I own a white van and it's the biggest pain to keep clean and cover any scratches.
Longhorn Man- I paid around 500 for her. It "passed" inspection with the PO but he had to pay someone, cause I don't think it should have passed
because one trailing arm has a rotted out half, the cab supports are only rust outlines, and the rockers are made of white duct tape
. But hey I not complaining its good until 12/05. My plans are to replace the rockers and cab corners in the spring and then take everything off the frame. Get the frame and suspension parts powdercoated and rebuild. Gonna drop it a few inches front and rear and convert to 5 lug disc brakes in front, and 5 lug rear. I'm hoping to replace the 250 inline with a sbc but thatll be way down the line.I'm leaning towards a bright red for color, but I also like dark blue. I have a while to decide that.
I haven't really had the chance to go over the truck yet. I only saw it for a day then I had to go back up to school. The truck is in the Philadelphia suburb of Levittown for now but I hope to drive it to Wilkes-Barre to do the major work. I have a neighbor who has and is restoring a few F**ds (tryin to make him a chevy man
). So I will have some assistance with the restoration.
As for parts that I will need? Hmmm where do I start. The big one I picked up on so far is the bed. It's VERY rough, I think far beyond repair. I love the longbed fleetside so I'm just gonna start looking for a donor thats in better condition.
