I found a place the other day that sells rebuilt engines for our trucks.
www.hiperformer.com - I'm not plugging their site, I just noticed that they sell rebuilt models of our engines. They have several shapes and sizes to replace your factory motor. I guess this doesn't help if you want to go stock, but the prices are very reasonable.
