With the notch I did the top of the dif pokes just slightly above the original crossmember that the shocks mount to.Here is what the notch looks like,I didn't get a pic with the axle up in the notch yet,but I will the next time I go home.I don't think I'd want to notch too much deeper than that without building a step.
