You got it, sounds good.
The book will call for one full turn after zero lash, but what you have done (refered to as 1/2 past zero) is an old hot rodders truck that frees up the engine just a little. Makes it rev a hair quicker.
Once you fire it and brake in the cam, if you have any lifter tick, remove the covers and find the one that is ticking. While it is running, turn till the tick goes away, then 1/2 more turn.
Some will say this is a no-no doing it 1/2 past, but it has always worked for my grand father (old school hot rodder) and I've never had a problem either.
