I have in the past poured a little tranny fluid down the carb when motor was running. When smoke started to get thick, shut it off. Idea was to coat the cylinders, valves, etc.

Got that trick from some drag racers. When you go to fire motor again, will smoke for about 2 minutes. Seemed like it worked good.
