I just tackled that project myself,for the first time.It isn't as bad as it sounds,the worst thing is the drum brake springs.If you've done that before you will be okay.When you take the 8 bolts from the hub it will seep some axle grease.Also a torque wrench and a spindle nut socket will come in handy.I bought the socket at O'Reilly Auto for $27.Mine was the one with 6 prongs.My truck is also a 72'K20 with 8" lift.I can dig up the torque specs if you'd like.
