If you are using the cartridge-type, be sure that the o-ring on the adapter is seated properly when you service it. If the o-ring isn't changed with each filter change, it is possible that it can blow out of the groove when the engine is cold, or anytime for that matter. Just be sure it is where it belongs....don't assume that it is good.
