you say aftermarket wheel...you talkin Grant GT with the little plastic horn button?
The button popped off, and then the horn sounded off, right?
I'll bet that the wire that goes to your horn button was touching the steering wheel it's self, grounding it, causing it to turn on the horn.
As a matter of fact, since you removed this exact same wire and it stopped the horn, it has to be that wire.
