One thing to remember...a properly ballanced drive shaft, with all the u-joints and carrier bearing installed properly, will not only last for many years, but will hold up to gobs of power. If it is time to redo everything...all the joints and bearing, then it may be a good time to replace it...but IMO, it is a bit of a waste of $$ to replace the assembly when nothing is wrong.
I only say this becouse WAY too many ppl think that a 2 pc shaft is unsafe or a maintnance nightmare.
