Tues the passenger side exhaust fell off the truck.. the flat flange part of the collector actually seperated from the pipe.. wasnt rusted just cracked. Went ahead and had new collectors welded on both sides.. sounds soo much better now.. had been leaking for some time and i suppose i just got use to it..
towed it to a trans shop... yep.. it finally gave it up..going to stop by the shop in the morning and see how much its going to run. If its too rich for my blood i will have a buddy and his Jeep TJ (350 chevy, th400, 38" swampers) tow my truck home so i can tear it out myself..unfortunately i dont have a concrete driveway to lay on, and would rather not roll around in the dirt. At the moment i would rather have it done even if it cost alittle bit more.. but if worse comes to worse i will do it myself over a week or two time. Unfortunately that leaves 4 working adults with 2 cars... makes things difficult. hopefully tax return will come in soon.. was planning on using it on a front end rebuilt (tie rods, idler arm, pitman arm, ball joints, and control arm bushings). Oh well... we shall see what another week will bring..
