We run all of our trucks and cars at full manifold vacuum, (17) and have for years. Our experience has been that this is the best way for performance and gas mileage. When we curve a distributor the amount of vacuum advance is set also as some advance too much or not enough. There may be situations where partial vacuum works best but in general full vacuum is what we find works best.
