I have filled them all before. I didn't really notice any difference, but it was when i first got the truck and I wasn't completely used to it anyway. I just haven't had a need to use them again. There are gas stations on every corner and I'd need to take a mortgage out on the house to pay to fill them all. The side tanks are 13 or 14 gal each. One of the board members (the guy who has all the brochures, ect posted online) has info on the HICKEY tanks. I don't have the link to his site on my home computer, just at work. I think it is something like slosh.com
