The truck had an interior mounted antenna with a small amplifier. The kind you string under the IP. The radio only got in 1 AM station and 1 FM station, and the reception on these two stations was bad. I bought another one and installed it. After a lot of work (factory air), it improved slightly. Your correct about poking an unnecessary hole in that air cowl. Can you recommend an interior mounted antenna that doesn't need to be strung under the IP? Maybe something with a small mast that can be mounted vertically behind one of the seats?
