What brand of shift kit is it?
The B&M and TCI valve bodies will shift hard at all throttle points.
The trans-go will shift harder as more throttle is applied <-- I like this
, But still shifts stiff at lower RPMs
Also it depends on if you want full manual, or manual/automatic.
