If the wife gets to upset about using the dishwasher just keep an eye out in the paper for an old portable one.
I have a fridge (refreshments), portable dishwasher (cleaning small parts), washer and dryer (shop rags and dingy cloths) and old electric stove (for future powder coating) for the garage. Keeps the little lady happy, besides if she ever kicks my butt to the garage for good I'd be set.
