my 72 suburban just has a hose that goes straight down from a little tube by the radiator cap and dumps right on the ground.
My radiotor has a "fill line" that is marked about 2-3 inches UNDER the radiator cap. this is probably why it pukes out the fluid. maybe you are overfilling it??? look and see if yours has this marking...
