Make sure you use the correct hinge or you will not achieve a full 45 degree swing. A couple other members found this out the hard way.
Me I used a hinge off of a Jeep Grand cherokee mid 70's where the door swings out from the fender not into it. Pics should help.
The pics show what I accomplished with about 4 hrs fab work, then my son was born and I never touched it again. Been 16 months now. I will finish someday
