I heard of a guy that put the 8100 Vortec/4L80E combo in a truck. There wasn't a lot of info on how it fit though.
BTW in case anybody was wondering, the 8100 Vortec is just a 496 BB with Vortec FI.
Don't know if this helps any, but thought I would post anyway.
