Brain is correct, however I wouldn't put it up there with the big name stand alones. It's more of a poor mans FI system. The big reason people go to a megasquirt system is to take advantage of the 2 bar MAP system in forced induction. The factory LS1 computer can only read so much before the MAF is maxed out. The smart guys use megasquirt as a piggy back system to control air/fuel instead of a full stand alone aif/fuel/spark.
BTW - MSD does make an LS1 coil but I really wouldn't see the point at $75 dollars each.
