7. To make it a lot easier to remove, were gonna drop the steering column a little. First remove the Phillip screws holding the rubber boot retainer (1 in pic).
Then remove the 4 bolts holding the plate underneath (2 in pic).

8. Loosen the bolts clamping the steering column in place. It's not necessary to totally remove them.
