Hey tim I had the same trouble cause some A hole wanted mine in a parking lot. talk about pissed off, anyway they ended up with broke ones serves them right. I found some speed nuts at the parts house after I got some new ones from lmc and the nut slides into the hole and you push the post from the emblem thru it. Works great dont have to take the fenders off later if you want to remove them with the two screwdriver method plus they dont rattle.Anyway thought you might like a little time saver and less frustration Good luck!!!!
