I used 4 in. springs in back of my 67 and left the shock mounts in stock location. I did use the front shocks for a 4x4 in the rear and it rides like a caddy, I impressed myself. It has no bouncy movement, very firm but forgiving. I used urethane bushings in the rear for trail arms and locator bar. In fact I got in the bed and jumped up and down and it didn't bounce and I weigh better that 200#.
