Oh yea you can get major gobs of power out of an inline but fuel economy goes from better then an 8 to worse then a BB. GM blessed us with a platform which is easy to go from one extrem to the other so most just pop in a 350.

You can get a 4bbl intake for your six too that alone tends to wake them up or you could do the power package intake/cam/valve work and header. Even changing the timing advance with a $8 spring/weight kit works well. They even make headers with dual outlets. An inliner guy was telling me about the intake he got off of e-bay it's a factory 4bbl spread bore setup one of the ones they sold for export to some south american coutry. He said they sold our 74 Novas as 78's to this place and all the 250's had this intake and a q-jet on them.
