I used 73+ linkage on my 72 4x4 when I changed over to auto. I had to make two mods for it to work. (1) I had to lengthen the shifter rod a few inches ( coulumb to trans ) (2) I had to make a spacer block to mount the pivit bracket to on the frame rail, to make things line-up.
